Wds secure boot8/30/2023 ![]() ![]() This is not an easy option with secure boot enabled. I had previously integrated PXELinux to get a nice boot menu of other utilities and live CDs to run. A very easy way to do this is to turn on secure boot, which you'll probably want anyways if you are using the TPM chips. Make sure they are using native UEFI network booting, not the legacy version. Do not use DHCP options - they break things, because they don't choose the correct bootloader for UEFI vs legacy clients. If the WDS server is on a different subnet, you need to configure IP Helpers on the router that connects the two subnets. Unless your WDS server is also your DHCP server.in which case my advice is just don't do that. Ignore the instructions in the DHCP tab of the WDS server properties. ![]() IGNORE ANY INSTRUCTIONS THAT SAY OTHERWISE. If the WDS server and clients are in the same subnet, you do not need to worry about DHCP options, IP helpers, or any of that jazz. ![]() I just went through dealing with this, using Server 2012R2 WDS. ![]()
